Available in Three stores
Samsung is having plenty of coverage on this week, as not only have we had the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the UK, but there's also been a rumour regarding its little brother the 8.9. And to top the Samsung cake we now have news that the cheap and chirpy Galaxy Europa handset is available from Three for just ?50.
Well, strictly speaking it's ?49.99 but with the sad demise of the penny sweet you're going to struggle to find a use for that odd copper coin.
The budget Android offering is down from ?89.99 and includes GPS, whilst the Social Hub feature makes staying connected simple by keeping phone contacts, social network friends and appointments in one place.
Sylvia Chind, head of handsets at Three, commented: “The Samsung Galaxy Europa is a great value smartphone and coupled with our All-You-Can-Eat data proposition on Pay As You Go, it’s ideal for people looking to make their first step into the world of smartphones.”
So what do you get for your ?50? It's not too bad actually, with the aforementioned GPS being joined by 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen, 2-megapixel camera with digital zoom and a 600Mhz processor - which should chug along nicely.
PAYG customers can get the full smartphone experience with a Samsung Galaxy Europa for ?49.99. All in One 15 costs ?15 and gives 30-days access to a shed load of data along with 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts. Or All in One 25 costs ?25 and offers 500 minutes, 3,000 texts and that shed with the data in it for a 30-day period.
The phone is available in Three stores and online.
