YouTube now lets you watch embedded videos later on YouTube.com

YouTube Watch Later
Embedded YouTube videos have received a new clickable link in the upper-right corner that appears when you hover over the video. This is called 'Watch later', and predictably, lets you watch the video later.

Here's how it works: You spot an interesting video embedded somewhere, but don't have time to watch it just then. Click on 'Watch later'. Then, when you have time to watch it, just go to YouTube.com and all the videos you have marked for watching later are waiting for you right there on the homepage.

You need to be logged in to YouTube for this feature to show up -- which makes sense if you think about it, as it's better to associate the videos with an account rather than a browser-specific cookie.

There currently seems to be no way to make a video marked for watching later disappear from your YouTube homepage, other than by watching it. Surely, after Google has ironed out all the kinks of this feature, this may change.

One final note: some say that this doesn't work on all embedded YouTube videos. Whether or not that's so, we haven't been able to confirm, as all the embeds we've tried have the new link on them. And it's clearly not dependent on whether the new iFrame-based embed codes are used, since we've also seen the link show up on videos embedded using the default code. Anyway, perhaps you should expect to come across one or more videos that won't let you mark them for later viewing just yet.
