Duke Nukem Forever hit by another delay

Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed yet again, with the release dates now falling in June, rather than May as was originally planned.

The delay was announced during a promo video fronted by Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, in which he states: "Nothing can stop us now - not even Duke Nukem himself can get in our way", before the release dates on the poster behind him are altered from May to June.

At least Gearbox is prepared to laugh at itself, we suppose.

The Duke Nukem Forever story is both a long and tedious one. It was first announced by 3D Realms in April 1997, with a mid-1998 release date touted for the Duke Nukem 3D follow-up.?

However, it was only at the PAX show over in Seattle that the franchise was officially rebooted with Pitchford stating: "It's unbelievable, it kicks ass and it's totally going to happen."?

And surely it cannot be delayed again - so it's going to happen in June.

Duke Nukem Forever is (hopefully) hitting PCs, Xbox 360s and PS3s on 10 June worldwide, 4 days later in the States.
