Mission Control combines Expos, Dashboard, Spaces, and full-screen applications to give you one place to see and navigate everything running on your Mac.
To access Mission Control you can use gestures and swipe up with three fingers on your trackpad or click the Mission Control icon in the Dock. At the top of the screen is a row of icons giving you access to the Dashboard, Desktop Spaces, and all of your currently running full-screen applications. The main part of the screen shows an Expos view of the open windows on your Desktop grouped by application. Hover the cursor over a group of windows and swipe to expand them so you can easily open the one you want.
You can also create additional Desktop Spaces by clicking the control (+) in the upper-right corner or by dragging an application to the row of icons at the top of the screen. You can move windows from one space to another and even bind an application to a particular space or have it available to all spaces. To make it easier to see which Desktop Space you’re using, they can each have a separate desktop picture.
Combining these different ways of switching between documents and applications will make it easier to quickly get to what you’re working on and organizing the many documents we have open at a single time.
