It's a beast

The Samsung Galaxy S III has made a spec filled appearance online and by the looks of it, it is going to be another flagship to make Samsung proud.?

First up is the inclusion of a dual-core 1.8GHz Exynos 4212 processor, backed up with 2GB of RAM.?

On the back is a backlit 12-megapixel camera which is presumably 1080p capable. The screen is as cutting edge as they get, being 4.6 inches and boasting Super AMOLED Plus HD tech. No surprise that the dimensions of the display are close to those of the yet-to-be-announced Nexus Prime.

The information was leaked to Phandroid.com, a source telling them that the phone will feature LTE and NFC support. They also informed Phandroid that the new device is going to take a different approach to design than other Galaxy handsets to avoid any legal issues that might occur.?

Ice Cream Sandwich is a given, but Phandroid also reports that it might feature four Android buttons. This doesn't seem to be obvious from the image and doesn't fit with past Samsung Android devices, so we're not convinced on that point.

Our advice would be to take this specs leak with a pinch of salt, as the actual image containing the Galaxy S III shows a few spelling mistakes and claims the Galaxy S II shipped with an Exynos processor.?

Still, worth getting excited about, especially given how potent the phone is shaping up to be. Shame there is no quad-core there though. The phone is listed as 2012, we'd bet our shirts it launches on the opening night of Mobile World Congress on 26 February next year.
