Two hours beforehand is a touch extreme
The Apple Store has gone down again for the second time in under a week, obviously being made ready for the announcement of the company's refresh of the iPad, the iPad 2, at 6pm GMT this evening (2 March).
It suggests that pre-orders will be available from the moment the new device has been announced, and as it has been taken down on every region's version of the Apple website, we are safe to presume that the second generation tablet will be rolled out globally, rather than stuttered like last year.
There are also rumours flying about that the iPad 2 could even be available to buy from the end of the week, with some looking to nab one this weekend.
However, with the expectation that this iteration will be merely a slight step-up from the existing model, it'll be interesting to see if it creates such a queuing frenzy as the first device.
