Twisting 3D objects in space with ease would only really be possible if you could use the Force, young Jedi. Unfortunately, none of us can, despite how hard we may try. Thankfully, there’s now an app that allows you to simulate this task on your iPhone! Man, those things really can do anything.
What is it?
3D Twist and Match is exactly like it sounds. There is a 3D object in the middle of the screen that you must twist to match up with a silhouette behind it. If you don’t do so in the amount of time allotted, the object shakes and disappears and a new one comes onto the screen. As with many games, the faster you complete the task the more points you get in the game.
How does it work?
To twist an object, you simply touch and drag your finger in the direction you wish for the object to move. When the object is in the correct orientation, it will disappear to make way for the next object. The game allows a few different modes of play: classic, rush, and practice. It also uses Game Center to track scores.
Is it contagious?
While the game is pretty amusing, I wouldn’t say it is addictive. Sometimes it’s hard to get the object to move in the way you want because the interpretations of some finger swipes isn’t up to par with what you’d expect. I imagine this part of the app would be quite difficult to get right, though.
