Software

  • Macbundler’s charity bundle promotion has launched with 6 amazing apps packed into a bundle. The list of applications include: Snaprocket, Macomfort, Whatsize, Memoir, MediaRage and Transpod. The bundle promotion runs for two weeks and 20% will be donated to a charity of your choice. All licenses are delivered immediately after purchase. An affiliate program will also be in place for website owners to earn from advertising the bundle promotion.
  • KiDSafe Technologies has announced KiDSBrowse 1.1 for Mac OS X, an update to their web browser application specially designed to provide a safe experience for kids and teens on the Internet. It features parental controls, malware resistance from viruses and spyware, and a simple, colorful interface. KiDSBrowse opens with 13 kid-safe websites already included, and the ability for parents, teachers, and caretakers to add any number of additional sites, with advanced filtering options for each.
  • Spiderweb Software today releases Avadon: The Black Fortress 1.0.1, a free upgrade to the Macintosh Indie fantasy role-playing game. Avadon: The Black Fortress is an epic adventure in a strange and dangerous world. You are a spy and warrior, tasked to fight the enemies of your homeland. As a servant of the Black Fortress, your word is law. Gain great power and battle a conspiracy to destroy your people. This upgrade fixes a number of irritating bugs, balance issues, and typos.
  • This week’s Weekly Specials at TheMacBundles are Slink and Inpaint. Toast 11 also is being offered at a special price. Additionally, the special Utility Bundle has been extended to March 20th.   • Sorenson Media has unveiled a number of new features within its online video platform, Sorenson 360, streamlining the process of publishing video online and providing customers such as IDEA Health & Fitness Association increased flexibility as they publish video across the web. In addition to direct integration with Sorenson Squeeze Server, users also benefit from multiple video player compatibility, Facebook integration and automated video sitemaps for SEO, among other new features.
  • Chris Mayer has announced the latest line-up of projects on CodeStore. CodeStore offers Xcode template projects to authors, artists, photographers, or anyone looking to create an app for iPhone or iPad. The projects have a range of uses, and can be freely modified. No knowledge of the Objective-C programming language is required to create an app using the templates, as the code is already complete. All that is required is the replacement of the example content.
  • Nuclear Nova Software has introduced Barnyard Blaster, its sixth game for Mac OS X. Barnyard Blaster is a unique shooter with one goal, prevent all animals from escaping. Use six unique weapons, from flame throwers to rocket launchers, to stop ten species of animals from crossing the environment. The game features rich 3D graphics in eight different environments, a great soundtrack, as well as online achievements and high scores. The replay value will keep you occupied for countless hours.
  • Zevrix Solutions has announced Deliver Express 2.1.1, an update to its automated solution to send and share files easily across the Internet and local networks. Deliver Express processes files automatically from watched hot folders and supports FTP, Amazon S3, MobileMe and other services. Users only need to copy files to network based hot folders, and the files will be sent automatically with customizable email confirmations issued upon delivery.
  • Ambrosia Software, Inc. has announced the release of Mondo Solitaire 1.0, the biggest, baddest, bestest solitaire game for the Mac. Mondo Solitaire is solitaire done right, with 300 game variants, slick graphics, and a user interface that’s been designed especially with the Mac in mind. Mondo Solitaire’s beautiful, crisp graphics let you easily identify your cards and assess your current move, and it plays as beautiful as it looks.
