Priced at $599 in the States
The Wi-Fi version of the Motorola Xoom is set to hit US stores on 27 March, priced at $599 - raising hopes that we could see a launch date in the UK of around the same time.
"Motorola Xoom is a truly innovative tablet - its design, coupled with being the first tablet to have Android 3.0, results in a user experience that is one-of-a-kind," said Dan Papalia, vice president of retail sales for Motorola Mobility. "We are now continuing to expand the choices available to consumers with the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi to be available soon from numerous leading retailers in the United States."
Those retailers are Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, RadioShack, Sam's Club, Staples and Walmart.
Here in Blighty we are still without a release date for the flagship dual-core Honeycomb tablet, although we know that the Wi-Fi version will go on sale via Dixons Retail plc for ?499, with it's 3G boasting brother costing ?100 more than that at the Carphone Warehouse.
