Compared to the T-Rex iPhone, at least
Luxury phone manufacturer Gresso has added a new model to its exclusive Luxor range of phones. And the new design is rather modestly priced at $4,000. Modest when compared with the Luxor Las Vegas Jackpot's $1million price ticket, that is.
It's also a veritable bargain when considered alongside Stuart Hughes' T-Rex tooth adorned iPhone 4 History Edition, which retails for a cool $40,000. Heck, you could have ten Luxors for that.
The new version of Gresso's custom handset combines?African Blackwood, sapphire and ceramics to create a deluxe feel, with its bezel made of?planished steel with black PVD coating. The screen is?framed with 42-carat sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment. All expensive stuff.
Every key is also made of sapphire single crystal and polished manually.
In addition, the manufacturer offers a configurator service on its website at gresso.com, where customers can make their own exclusive and unique phone by selecting different elements and materials.
The phone itself is Triband (900/1800/1900), comes SIM-free, has up to 30MB of internal memory?
(expandable via microSD up to 2 GB), and features a 2-megapixel camera. It has an in-built FM stereo radio and modem, and a battery life of around 5 hours talk time.
But, come on, you wouldn't really buy it for its specifications now, would you?
