iTunes song previews extended from 30 to 90 seconds

Apple has make song previewers awfully happy by extending the song preview time in iTunes from 30 to 90 seconds. Sorry, non-Americans; the feature is currently U.S. only.

iTunes song previews extended from 30 to 90 seconds

Originally announced in November, the extended preview feature is only available for certain songs; all of which are longer than two and a half minutes in length. The National Music Publishers Association is not happy with Apple's change and is stating that an additional license will be required for the previews to be lengthened. Apple's standing up for the people on this one, stating that the longer samples will benefit both customers and music labels. Enjoy it for now; I'm sure we haven't heard the last from the music industry on this.
