With most of the tech world expecting the iPad's successor to make its appearance soon, the rumor mill is spinning with possible specs. According to multiple sources from component suppliers, a few new treats include a higher resolution display and dual cameras which would help the new iPad keep pace with new tablets getting ready to hit the market.
With the tablet market expected to quadruple by 2012, Apple needs to make these moves to keep their dominant share of the tablet market. A lighter and slimmer iPad that improves on an already popular design would help do just that. It wouldn't be Apple without a few unexpected surprises as well; too bad we have to wait until February or so to find out.
