You’re the one in the organization who’s “good with computers.” You have your own laptop; you’re comfortable sending emails; hell, you probably have your own Facebook account. One day you’re late for a meeting, and when you walk in, it’s been decided (unanimously) that you’re going to put together the website. Because you’re good with computers. And they’ve taken the first step by buying you Adobe Dreamweaver CS5. Now what?

Well, what you do is sign up for Class on Demand’s Complete Training for Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 course. The online videos take you through the process of using the massive site management program. The video series takes you through the first steps of using the Dreamweaver, from familiarization with the interface, up through creating a web page, learning CSS, through publishing and maintaining an entire site.

The videos, none of which are longer than 30 minutes, explain in a clear fashion what they’re meant to teach. You’ll have to pause, back up, and go through them again to get what they’re teaching down pat, but considering how complex Dreamweaver is, that’s to be expected. The instructor, Sue Jenkins, has a long list of credentials with Dreamweaver, and she has a warm, conversational tone.

The DVD and streaming options cost the same, and the streaming has no time limit, how you choose to watch them is a matter of personal preference. If you’re completely baffled about how to put a site together using Dreamwaver, Class on demand will take you by the hand, and walk you through the steps from creating a page to getting your site online. For an absolute beginning, this is a great training course.
