Software

  • Feral Interactive has released the interactive demo of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for game consoles and PC, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is the latest in a successful line of LEGO titles to be brought to the Mac by Feral Interactive.
  • Qoppa Software has announced jWordConvert, their MS Word document conversion software. jWordConvert supports converting MS Word files to PDF documents, to image files, and printing MS Word files. Qoppa’s jWordConvert is available as a Java library for integration by developers into their Java applications or applets. It can be deployed on servers to handle automated processing of Word documents as well as end-user applications or in-browser applets.
  • SwoopGrid has announced the launch of a new deal distribution network empowering Mac developers to promote programs at no risk. Within five minutes, a developer can add their app to SwoopGrid, which will instantly promote the app on an expansive network of audience-targeted websites. To supercharge sales, each app is sold at a developer-specified discount, ranging from as low as 15% to as high as 50%. Developers can continue to promote their app for as long as they choose.
  • This week’s Weekly Specials at TheMacBundles are Protect Files and Slideshow. Both programs are being sold at over 60% off! It will also launch an alarm whenever there is a reminder configured for one of your GCal events.

  • Eternal Storms Software has announced flickery 1.9.21 on the Mac App Store, making it the first entry of the company. flickery is a full-featured flickr desktop client for the Mac, offering a great way to share on, browse and search flickr. flickery will be Mac App Store exclusive by version 2.0. Eternal Storms Software is transitioning their software to the Mac App Store. New software releases due later this year will be distributed exclusively on the Mac App Store.
