ipad 2 release date

Apple has officially announced the iPad 2 release in 12 more countries—Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and UAE—starting April 29th. Japan is getting it one day ahead of those countries, as Apple Authorized resellers in Japan will start selling the iPad 2 tomorrow (April 28). Suggested retail prices for both iPad 2 Wi-Fi and iPad 2 Wi-Fi will be the same with the US prices. However, this will still be subjected to additional cost for the respective countries’ tax policies.

Apple Authorized Resellers will start selling the iPad 2 at 9 a.m. local time, while those countries with an Apple Online Store will start selling the iPad at 1 a.m. local time, as well. Additionally, for our friends in China, you may have to wait for a couple of days more as the iPad 2 release in your country won’t happen until May 6.

The 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models will be available.
