Although Bejeweled 3 has been out for Windows and Mac OS X since December 7th of last year, PopCap Games is slowly working to bring the popular title to other platforms. In a recent interview, PopCap Games’ Garth Chouteau had said the company is “traditionally somewhat slow to adapt our games to other platforms,” and that an iOS version of the game is likely something we can look forward to in the future.
PopCap is known for bringing their games to many popular platforms as we’ve seen with their many other titles. A good example is Bejeweled 2, which had eventually made its way onto multiple cell phones and smartphones as well as consoles such as the Xbox 360.
The company is organizing a meeting at the Game Developers’ Conference in San Francisco later this month, so it’s even possible this could happen soon. In the meantime, if you’re a fan of the Bejeweled series, you can try Bejeweled 3 for free as well as purchase the full game on PopCap Games’ web site.
