Fresh from announcing the world's largest Full LED-backlit LCD 3D TV, LG has offered up yet more juicy TV launch info ahead of CES 2011.

This time, it's the LG LW6500 - which features LG's Cinema 3DTM technology that does not require shutter glasses and where images displayed are entirely free of flicker.

The tech is based on a film-type patterned retarder (FPR) panel, and the TV has received a "Flicker Free" certification from both Intertek and T?V - the first TV to do so.

The glasses that come with the LW6500 don't require power, and therefore batteries, so are much lighter than usual (at just 16g) and are far less likely to induce eye fatigue. There's no charging required, and no syncing either.

“With the introduction of our innovative Cinema 3DTM TV, LG is setting another standard for 3D entertainment,” said Havis Kwon, president and CEO of? LG Home Entertainment. “For consumers who want to enjoy cinema-quality 3D at home with their family and friends, LG is now making that possible.”

The LG LW6500 is an LG Smart TV meaning that, as well as the advanced 3D features, it boasts access to the likes of HuluPlus (in the States), YouTube, BBC iPlayer, Acetrax and many others.

It has 3D Light Boost tech on board too, which is a thin film that ensures maximum brightness for 3D images, connectivity via Wi-Fi, is DNLA compliant, can play DivX and DivX HD, and has TruMotion 200Hz bringing a high refresh rate.

There are no price or launch date details as of yet, hopefully this will all be confirmed over in Vegas. So keep your eyes peeled.
