New Samsung laser printers play the eco card

For the small business
New Samsung laser printers play the eco card. Samsung, Printers, Samsung ML-4510ND, Samsung ML-5015ND, Eco 0

It's difficult to get excited about printers, but to Samsung's credit it's really trying its best to get our pulses racing with two new devices aimed at small businesses.

The ML-4510ND and ML-5015ND are both designed to handle large volume print jobs with a decent pages per minute rate: the ML-4510ND coming in at 43 A4 pages and the 5015ND at 48 - it being the premium model.

Samsung is also suggesting they're both economical and enviromentally friendly, with a seperated toner/drum system providing a significantly reduced cost per page, as the Drum only needs to be replaced after 60,000 pages. This is coupled with improved power consumption and paper usage.

In addition to this the high capacity toner cartridge of ML-5015ND can also produce up to 20,000 pages, therefore relying on fewer replacement cartridges.

Other features include an eco mode which automatically activates the duplex mechanism, turning on a 2-up mode and skipping blank pages so less toner is used, whilst a graphical display also gives info on how carbon footprint and power consumption can be reduced.

Capable of handling up to 200,000 sheets every month, the ML-4510ND and ML-5015ND are apparently also extremely quiet (less than 54 dBA), and offer enhanced anti-jam technology decreasing the jam rate.

Both printers are available now.
