Sub ?200 hi-spec compact announced
If you're in the market for a new ultra-zoom compact camera then you're in luck. On Monday Canon announced a couple of new PowerShot models, and now Olympus has unveiled its latest zoomy-model - the SZ-10.
The SZ-10 is a 14-megapixel camera that packs in an 18x optical zoom (28 to 504mm, 35mm equivalent). Its built-in flash, eight "magic filters", and 3D mode boost its still image features and if it's video that you're interested in, you'll be pleased to know the SZ-10 can shoot 720p HD at 30fps.
There's a 3-inch LCD screen on the back, is Eye-Fi compatible and it also boasts dual image stabilisation and AF tracking to avoid blurred images and beauty mode - to make skin appear "brighter, smoother and more youthful" - just like Oil of Olay.
There's also a panorama mode, advanced face detection (as well as pet detection) and it can be charged via USB.
Available in sleek black or silver, the Olympus SZ-10 will hit the shops this month priced at just under ?200.
