Samson Meteor Mic turns up the volume

Home recordings go HQ
Samson Meteor Mic turns up the volume

There's been plenty of talk and launches lately regarding webcams and the like going HD - making video calling higher quality than during its first revolution back in 2003.

But what good is a super crystal clear picture if the sound quality is still akin to a satellite news agency reporter calling in a live update from Khogno Tarna?

That's exactly what Samson must have been thinking when it got the R&D boys to come up with the ideas for what has now become the Meteor Mic.

The Meteor Mic isn't just a high-quality microphone for your Skyping needs either - it's the "the universal solution for recording music on your computer...perfect for your home studio, voice recognition software and is compatible with iPad’s GarageBand".

It works straight out of the box (no drivers required), plugs in directly through USB (you'll need an adapter for the iPad obviously) and offers a 25mm condenser diaphragm, a flat frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz and16-bit, 44.1/48kHz resolution.

Out now, the Samson Meteor Mic costs ?99.99.
