Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 priced at $499 in US

$599 for 32GB version
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

US pricing details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 were revealed for a brief moment today, by Stateside online retailer JR.com. The 16GB version was listed for pre-order at $499 (?308.56), while the 32GB edition was up for $599 (?370.52).

However, almost as soon as it was posted, the pre-order pages were taken down again - possible intervention from an irate Samsung perhaps?

It is expected that we'll soon know whether JR jumped the gun and posted the real prices, or if they were wholly?inaccurate?as the 10.1 (which isn't the Galaxy Tab 10.1 we saw at Mobile World Congress - now the Vodafone exclusive 10.1V - but, in fact, the 10.1 we saw at CTIA in the US) is touted for released on 8 June, just under three weeks away.

We'll also find out what the UK price will be although, traditionally, Samsung tends to price products in British pounds on a like-for-like basis with the dollar. It wouldn't be unusual, therefore, if the Android 3.0-sporting 16GB Galaxy Tab 10.1 was initially ?499 and the 32GB ?599. Time will tell.
