Samsung D600: The first budget 4G Gingerbread phone?

Leaked pictures and rumoured specs suggest that the Samsung D600 could well be the first budget-friendly Gingerbread handset - one that also rocks 4G as well.

The handset, which is supposedly coming to Sprint in the US for starters, is said to cut down on the costs by offering just a HVGA 320x480 display and a 3.1-megapixel camera.

But that doesn't mean it's a dud because there's some impressive hardware on board as well apparently including a Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, Wi-Fi, a WiMax radio and GPS - as well as that Android version 2.3.

The D700 shipped as the Samsung Galaxy S, Epic 4G flavour, so it's likely that the D600 will fall into the Galaxy family as well.

The Samsung Galaxy Asda Price anyone?

Nothing official yet - we'll keep you posted.
